Cruising Towards Paris 2024: Matt Markland Represents New Zealand at World Skate Tour Street Event in Switzerland

Matt Markland is gearing up for an exciting journey to Lausanne, Switzerland, where he will proudly represent New Zealand among the world’s top skateboarders during the World Skate Tour Street event scheduled from September 9th to 16th, 2023. His primary goal is to accumulate crucial points that will contribute to his qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Matt’s journey towards this prestigious event began with his participation in the World Street Championships in Rome in July 2022, which earned him a global skate ranking of 91. So far, he has collected an impressive 550 points. In addition, Matt also showcased his skills at the STU Open in Rio De Janeiro in October 2022. Since then, he has been diligently training and competing in Australia, where he is currently based, to prepare for this upcoming competition.
